REFRIGERATOR MUFFINS 
2 c. All Bran
2 c. crushed Shredded Wheat (about 4 lg.)
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. boiling water
1 heaping c. vegetable shortening (Crisco kind)
4 eggs
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 qt. buttermilk (1 qt. milk soured w/vinegar works)
5 tsp. baking soda
5 c. flour
Raisins, nuts, dates (optional)

Mix first 4 ingredients, add remainder until just mixed. Store in covered container in refrigerator. Will keep up to 2 months. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Good warm or cold, buttered or not.
