4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water
6 tbsp. white Karo
6 egg whites
1/3 c. confectioners sugar

Place sugar, water and Karo in saucepan. Boil until mixture spins a thread. Stir and watch (it will boil over). Beat egg whites until stiff (beat with electric mixer). Add syrup in small stream and beat on high speed until it stands in peaks. Add sifted powdered sugar.

This is a never fail recipe.

Makes enough for 3 layer cake and it is delicious.
