LENTILS AND RICE 
1/2 lb. lentils, washed
1/2 c. rice
1/2 c. onion, chopped
Oil
1 clove garlic
1 cube beef bouillon
1 strip bacon (optional)
Parmesan cheese
Paprika
Salt
Pepper

Fry onion in oil; add garlic and bacon if desired. Add lentils with about 6 cups water and boil on medium heat 5 minutes. Add rice and spices to taste. Continue to boil 15 minutes longer. When ready to serve, sprinkle with cheese.
