MEXICAN CORN BREAD CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 onion 1 tsp. cumin 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese 1 c. cornmeal 1 egg 1 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 2 c. cream style corn 1/2 c. corn oil 1 c. chopped peppers 1 hot, 1 sweet bell & mix Brown ground beef, onion and add cumin; mix with cheese. Grease 12 inch pan (iron skillet is best). Sprinkle with cornmeal and place in stove to get hot. Place 1/2 cornmeal mixture in pan, add meat and cheese. Top with remaining cornmeal mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes. |
