LENTIL SOUP 
1 lb. hamburger
1 lb. lentil beans
10 c. water
1 onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
Other spices you may like such as basil, sage, thyme, garlic salt

Wash, rinse, and sort lentil beans. Brown hamburger, add salt, pepper, and onion. Cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Add: 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, chopped up

Cook for another 1/2 hour.
