1 lg. can of evaporated milk
4 c. sugar
3 (6 oz.) pkg. Hershey chocolate chips
4 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans optional

Butter a 9 x 13 inch pan. Heat milk and sugar on low heat until sugar melts raise heat until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Boil and stir constantly for 8 minutes. Remove from heat, add other ingredients. Pour in pan. Let set 12 hours.
