PASTRY COOKIES - FILLED 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs and flour. Mix well. Add vanilla. Spread batter on a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch cookie pan. Grease or use Pam. Mark batter in squares and put a spoon of filling on each or just put pie fruit filled on whole pan.

Use cherry, pineapple, apple, etc. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. When done and still hot sprinkle powdered sugar and cut in squares.
