APPLESAUCE NUT BREAD 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. applesauce
1/3 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
3 tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted all purose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
3/4 c. chopped pecans

TOPPING:

1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Mix sugar, applesauce, oil, eggs and milk. Add dry ingredients to applesauce mixture and beat until well combined. Stir in the 3/4 cup pecans. Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and remaining pecans. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Cap loosely with foil after first 30 minutes of baking.
