BROWNIES 
4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate (Baker's baking & candy making chocolate semi-sweet)
2 sticks butter
1 c. English walnut pieces
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour, unsifted
4 lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate and butter in heavy pan -- just melt, do not cook. Add nuts. Stir until nuts are well coated with chocolate mixture. Set aside to cool.

Combine sugar, flour, eggs and vanilla. Mix only until blended -- DO NOT BEAT!!! Add chocolate and nuts mixture and, again, mix carefully -- DO NOT BEAT!! Pour into cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
