PLANTATION PEACH SHORTCAKE 
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening

Mix well. Add 1/2 cup walnuts. Combine 1 egg and 2/3 cup light cream. Add to floured mixture. Mix only until damp, roll out and cut. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. This shortcake is best served with fresh peaches.
