NEW ORLEANS STYLE BARBECUED
SHRIMP
 
14 lg. fresh shrimp
6 tbsp. unsalted butter
1 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper
1 tsp. creole seasoning
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chopped garlic
Juice of 1 lemon

CREOLE SEASONING:

8 oz. salt
2 oz. granulated garlic
2 oz. black pepper
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. oregano
2 oz. paprika
1 tbsp. granulated onion

Place the shrimp and all the ingredients, except the lemon juice and 3 ounce unsalted butter, in a saute pan large enough so that the shrimp are in one layer. Place the shrimp in a 450 degree oven for 2 minutes. Turn the shrimp and return to the oven for 2-3 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the oven and begin to saute over moderate heat.
