EASTER BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. sugar
7 1/2 to 8 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. warm milk
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sour cream
3 eggs, beaten well
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 egg, beaten
Melted butter

Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar. Beat eggs and add salt. Mix remaining ingredients together. Add egg mixture to this. Add yeast mixture. Beat well. Add raisins. Knead 10 minutes on floured board. Oil bowl. Add dough, cover, let rise 1 hour, punch down, divide dough. Put in 2 greased bread pans. Brush with beaten egg. Let raise again. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Brush melted butter on tops after baked.
