"CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING TO COOK" SUPPER | |
For this recipe, minute or gravy steaks, veal cutlets, tenderized cuts of round steak, or pork chops may be used. Rings of bell pepper, onion, and fresh tomatoes. Salt, pepper, and flour cutlets/steaks. Season with garlic powder to taste. Brown in oil; drain excess oil. Add reserved flour. Brown for gravy, adding water and a can of mushroom soup. (Soup is optional). Arrange steaks in 13 x 9 inch dish; pour gravy over steaks. Place a ring each of bell pepper, onion, and fresh tomato on each steak, using toothpicks to hold in place if necessary. Cover and place in 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Serve over a bed of rice with cornbread. |
