JOAN'S CINNAMON APPLE SALAD 
1/4 c. red cinnamon candies
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. hot water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin
1 c. cold water
1 c. diced apple
1/2 c. diced orange
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Dissolve candies and sugar in hot water. Heat just to boiling. Pour over gelatin, stir to dissolve and add cold water. Add red food coloring if desired.

Chill until partially set and stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into mold. Chill until firm.

Variation: Substitute celery for the orange and grapes for nuts.
