NEVER FAIL PEANUT BRITTLE 
3 c. sugar
1 c. Karo syrup (white)
1/2 c. water
3 c. raw peanuts
3 tsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder

Boil water, sugar and Karo until it spins a thread when dropped from a spoon. Add peanuts and cook until it turns a golden brown, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and quickly add butter, salt and baking soda. Work fast because the baking soda makes it foam up quickly. Pour on 2 buttered cookie sheets. Let cool and break into pieces. It's great!
