JENNY'S STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE 
1 angel food cake
1 pt. whipping cream
1 (16 oz.) bag whole frozen strawberries
2 c. water
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
3 pts. fresh strawberries

In saucepan, crush bag of strawberries (thawed) and add 2 cups water and cook 2 to 4 minutes. Pour through sieve; mix cornstarch with sugar. Stir into hot berry mixture. Bring to boil; stir constantly. Cook and stir until thick and clear. Add a few drops of red food coloring. Cool to room temperature. Add sliced strawberries and chill.
