VIENNA CHOCOLATE BARS | |
2 1/2 c. flour 2 sticks butter 1/2 c. sugar 2 egg yolks 1 (10 oz.) jar raspberry jelly 1 c. chocolate chips 4 egg whites 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 2 c. chopped nuts Beat together the butter, sugar, and egg yolks until smooth. Add 2 1/2 cups flour. Press into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until dough is light brown. Remove from oven; spread jelly on dough and then chocolate chips. Beat egg whites with 1/2 teaspoon salt until stiff. Gradually add 1 cup sugar and nuts; spread mixture on top and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. |
