BANANA NUT LOAF 
2 c. flour (plain)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening (butter substitute)
5-7 ripe bananas
2 eggs
1/2 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 tsp. orange, grated
1/2 c. raisins (soaked in hot water before using)

Mix all ingredients well. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
