OVEN BEEF STEW 
1 tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
3/4 lb. beef chunk, 1 inch cubes
1 tbsp. shortening
1 1/4 c. water
3/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. basil
2 med. potatoes, cubed
2 carrots, sliced
1/4 c. dry red wine
1 can tomato soup

Coat meat in seasoned flour. Brown. Add soup and rest of ingredients. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until tender.
