APPLE DUMPLINGS 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk

SAUCE:

2 c. sugar, brown
2 c. water
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

6 or 8 good cooking apples, peeled and sliced thin. Boil sauce 3-4 minutes and set aside.

Make dough and roll out on a floured board you can roll out in 1 large sheet and cut in squares 4-5 inches or you can roll in individual dumplings place several apples in a square add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and a slice of butter. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
