APPLE DUMPLING 
1 1/2 c. flour
3 tbsp. butter
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3 or more apples
1/2 c. milk

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, butter and milk the same as for pie crust. Roll out in rectangle. Cut apples fine and cover dough. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and a little nutmeg. Roll up like jelly roll. Cut in 1" slices. Place slices in 9"x13" pan and cover with sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, or until brown.

SAUCE FOR DUMPLINGS:

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. flour
2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. butter

Mix well and pour over slices in pan before baking.
