APPLE BUTTER BREAD 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
3/4 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 c. apple butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. all spice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. pecans

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Combine buttermilk and soda. Combine flour and spices. Add alternately with buttermilk beginning and ending with flour. Stir in apple butter and pecans. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes; remove to wire rack and cool completely. Makes 1 loaf. Makes nice gift.

This recipe is outstanding!! However, I made it in a 9" sq pan instead of a 9X13 bread pan..baked it about 35 minutes, and I would recommend this to anyone who can read!!
