TUMBOLALA 
1 c. chopped ham
1 onion, chopped fine
1 qt. tomatoes, cut up, don't drain
1 c. uncooked rice
4 c. water
5 tbsp. butter cut in pieces
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. curry powder
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. salt
3 bay leaves

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours until rice is done. Stir occasionally.
