DATE CANDY 
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. chopped dates
4 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
1 (8 oz.) pkg. coconut
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk

Melt butter, add sugar. Add dates and milk. Cook 2 minutes then add nuts, vanilla, coconut and Krispies. Mix well and spread in pan. Save part of coconut to sprinkle over top. Fill a cookie sheet 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 5/8 inch.
