CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 lg. bag chocolate chips
2 c. oatmeal

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs, vanilla and milk and stir until smooth. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and add to above. Mix well. Stir in chips and oatmeal. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until light brown. Cookies will collapse in middle while cooling. These taste best when not overcooked. Also good with raisins instead of chocolate chips.
