GRANDMA GIFT FRUIT CAKES 
5 sticks butter
1 1/2 tsp. salt
6 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. nutmeg
13 eggs
3 c. sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped English walnuts
1 c. chopped black walnuts
1 1/4 lb. candied pineapple
1 1/4 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. citron
1 pkg. figs (optional)
1 pkg. dates
2 boxes white raisins
1 box dark raisins
1/4 c. orange or lemon peel

Cream butter, flour and spices together with fork. Beat eggs separately. Add sugar to eggs, beat then add rest of ingredients. Stir well. Pack into 5 loaf cake pans. Bake 6 hours at 200 degrees. Makes 5 cakes.
