HOT 'N SPICY CINCINNATI CHILI | |
1 qt. water 1 tbsp. garlic salt 1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. ground red pepper 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 dashes A-1 sauce 2 tsp. crushed red pepper 6 med. bay leaves 1 tsp. ground allspice 4 med. onions, grated fine 2 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds 4 to 6 whole, hot jalapeno peppers (opt.) 2 lbs. ground beef Boil water. Add all ingredients as they appear (except beef). Bring to boil again. Add raw beef in fine, small pieces. Simmer 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Add salt to taste, if desired. Add water if needed. Serve over spaghetti, topped with grated cheddar cheese or use for chili dogs. Great for serving at half-time during football season! |
