ORANGE ALMOND CAKE 
2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Stir the above ingredients together and set aside. 1 c. sugar 3 eggs 2 tsp. almond extract 1 c. yogurt Grated rind of 1 orange 3/4 c. whole blanched almonds

Cream the butter and beat in the sugar. Then add the eggs, yogurt, and almond extract. Beat in the previously mixed dry ingredients. Add grated orange rind.

Pour batter into a greased and floured springform pan. Arrange the blanched almonds attractively on top. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 minutes or until done.

As soon as it comes out of the oven, stir together: 2 tbsp. orange liqueur Grated rind of 1 orange and juice

Pour this over the hot cake. Yield: One 9-inch cake.
