HUNGARIAN GOULASH (COWBOY SOUP) | |
2 lbs. of beef sirloin cut in quarters, cubes 2 med. onion (red) 1/4 c. cooking oil 3 tbsp. Hungarian paprika (the best you can find) 1/2 green pepper 1/2 red bell pepper 1 med. tomato 1/2 tsp. salt 2 to 3 jalapeno peppers Saute chopped onions in oil for 5 minutes. Add beef cubes, then stir in. Cover and let steam about 15 minutes. Add paprika, peppers, tomato, salt and stir. Add 3/4 cup of water. Cover and let stew for 30 minutes or until meat is tender. Serve with red skin potatoes or noodles with French bread. |
