ORANGE SLICE CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
3 1/2 c. flour
2 cans chopped pecans
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 lb. candy orange slices, ut up
1 can flake coconut
1/2 lb. cut up dates
1 tbsp. grated orange rind

Roll fruit in the 1/2 cup flour. Mix the soda in the buttermilk. Mix all the above together and cook in tube pan for 3 hours at 275 degrees or until done.

GLAZE FOR ORANGE SLICE CAKE:

Bring to boil 1 cup orange juice (frozen juice diluted as directed) and 1/2 cup sugar; pour this mixture over cake while hot and leave in pan overnight until cool.
