ORANGE POPOVERS | |
1 tbsp. unsalted butter, room temperature 1 c. sifted flour 1 tbsp. finely grated orange zest 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 c. orange juice 1/2 c. milk 2 eggs Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Thoroughly grease 8 (2 1/2 inch diameter) muffin cups with the butter. In large mixing bowl combine the flour, orange zest, salt, and sugar. In medium bowl beat the oil, orange juice, milk, eggs together until well combined. Pour mixture into the dry ingredients, beating with wire whisk until batter is very smooth, 2-3 minutes. Pour batter into prepared cups, filling each about halfway. Bake 30 minutes or until deep golden brown. |
