MEATBALLS AND MARINARA SAUCE | |
Meatballs: 1 lb. hamburger 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 tsp. parsley 1/2 tsp. sweet basil Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl (with spoon or by hand). Form into 1-inch meatballs. Sauce: 2 large cans tomato sauce 2 large cans water 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 tsp. parsley 1/2 tsp. sweet basil Combine all ingredients in heavy pan. Add meatballs and simmer over medium heat for a minimum of 1 hour (the longer the better). Add water to keep sauce covering meatballs. Serve in a chafing dish with toothpicks. Note: If your are in a hurry, use prepared frozen meatballs and a high quality prepared spaghetti sauce. The meatballs will still need to simmer for a minimum of 1 hour. |
