6 bacon slices (cooked and crumbled, can substitute vegetables such as Broccoli or cauliflower) 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese 1/4 c. minced onion 1 1/4 c. cream (or regular milk) 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. sugar Dash of cayenne pepper 1 pie shell Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in bottom of pie shell. Beat together eggs, cream and seasonings. Pour egg mixture into pie shell. Bake in preheated 420 degree oven for 15 minutes on bottom rack. Reduce temperature to 325 degrees and continue baking until knife comes out clean. Let stand about 10 minutes before cutting. Serves 6 to 8 people. |
