WHOOPIE PIES 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 c. sour milk
1 c. hot water
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix together and drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Cool. Place filling on one cookie and top with another.

FILLING:

2 egg whites
4 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. flour
Pinch of salt
1 1/4 c. Crisco
2 tbsp. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla

Beat together until fluffy. Add 4 more cups of powdered sugar. Makes 30 large pies.
