NEVER FAIL DINNER ROLLS 
2 pkgs. yeast
2 c. lukewarm water
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
6 1/2 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in water; add sugar, salt and 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Add shortening and eggs; beat well again. Stir in remaining flour or enough to make dough easy to handle. Knead well and place in greased bowl. Cover and set in warm place. Let rise until more than double in bulk (2 hours or longer).

Shape into rolls and place into well greased 9x13 inch pan. Cover and let rise until light, 20-30 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 - 3 dozen. (Unbaked rolls store indefinitely in freezer.)
