DATE NUT PUDDING 
2 c. dates
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. boiling water
2 eggs, beaten
Pinch of salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (opt.)

Pour hot water over dates and soda. Add sugar, butter and egg mixture. Mix with flour and vanilla and salt. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip.
