LORRAINE'S APPLE PIE 
6 to 8 pie apples, pared, cored and thinly sliced
1 c. sugar (1/2 brown and 1/2 white)
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. tapioca
Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie

Bake 20-25 minutes at high temperature (425) until the crust is brown; turn oven down to 325 and continue baking until done (about 30-35 minutes).
