24 lg. cucumbers, peeled 12 med. onions, sliced 1 qt. vinegar 2 tsp. ginger 2 tsp. mustard seed 2 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. turmeric 4 c. sugar 3 or 4 mangos, sliced Let cucumbers and onions stand overnight in salt water. Add remaining ingredients to cucumber and onions and let simmer 20 minutes. Add a few stalks of celery instead of so much seed if you prefer. |
