COLESLAW THAT KEEPS 
3 to 4 c. shredded cabbage
1 to 2 tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. cooking oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard

Combine sugar, vinegar and oil, celery seed, salt, and dry mustard. Microwave (high), uncovered, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until mixture boils and sugar dissolves. Stir occasionally. Pour over cabbage; mix lightly. Cover tightly and let refrigerate overnight. Will keep up to 2 weeks. Chopped greens can be added with onion. It can be served hot immediately also and can be made ahead of Holidays.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
