CABBAGE ROLLS 
1 lg. head cabbage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 can sauerkraut
1 egg
1/2 lb. rice, cooked
1 can tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Put cabbage head in water and cook until leaves are soft. Remove from water. Peel off leaves. Mix rice, hamburger, sauerkraut, onions, egg, salt and pepper together. Take cabbage leaf, put in some filling, roll up and secure with toothpick, tucking in ends, as you make each roll. Place in baking pan when finished making rolls. Pour over tomatoes. If more liquid is needed, add tomato sauce and water. Cook slowly, covered, until filling is done, about 2 hours in a 300 degree oven.
