APRICOT BARS 
FILLING:

Cover 1 box of dried apricots with water and boil slowly for 1/2 hour. Add 1/2 cup brown sugar and mash to the consistency of applesauce.

DOUGH:

3/4 c. Crisco
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix until dry and crumbly. Pack 1/2 of dough into greased cookie sheet (15 x 12 inch). Spread with filling; cover with another layer of dough. Bake at 300 degrees for 1/2 hour.
