POTATO CAKES | |
1 lb. potatoes 1 egg 1 egg white 1 onion 2 cloves garlic 4 spring onions 1 lb. ground beef 1 tbsp. parsley, chopped 1/8 tsp. nutmeg Salt and pepper to taste Vegetable oil for frying Peel, cut and fry potatoes until light brown. When cooked, mash while still hot. Peel, slice onion and garlic, saute them in a little oil until light brown. Drain and add them to mashed potatoes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Chop the spring onions and parsley, and mix with potatoes. Add ground beef, 1 egg, and blend well. Form a small ball, roll in egg whites and fry in hot oil until light brown. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney of your taste. |
