PINTO BEAN CASSEROLE 
Approximately 2 qts. pinto beans
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger, browned
1/2 c. onion, diced
1 1/2 pts. tomatoes and juice
2 tbsp. chili powder

Cook pinto beans leaving plenty of juice. Brown and drain hamburger with onions. Add to beans along with tomatoes and juice. Add chili powder and mix together well. Let simmer for approximately 15-20 minutes. Pour in large deep dish.

TOPPING:

Bake cornbread in skillet.

Just before serving, place whole cornbread on top of bean mixture and let stand 5 to 10 minutes. Serve by dipping down through bread and beans with juice.

Before refrigerating, remove cornbread off top of casserole).
