CHICKEN LIVERS AND BACON
APPETIZERS
 
1/2 lb. filo leaves (strudel sheets)
1 stick butter
1/2 lb. bacon
1/2 lb. chopped chicken livers
1/4 c. fresh parsley
1/2 lb. finely chopped onions
Salt and pepper to taste

Cook bacon until crisp. Chop bacon into fine pieces; set aside. Brown chicken livers in drippings from bacon. Add onion, parsley, salt and pepper; saute until onion is tender. Add bacon. Remove from heat and drain off all excess grease and liquid.

Cut filo into small triangles or squares. Brush with butter, spoon filling in center about 1 inch from edges, fold over to cover filling, and butter top. Place on buttered baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
