ALABAMA BISCUITS 
2 c. milk
5 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. shortening

Put milk, sugar, salt, and shortening in saucepan and heat until shortening is melted. Let cool. Stir in 2 packages dry yeast, 4 cups flour, 4 teaspoons baking powder; mix thoroughly.

Roll out 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Put one on top of other (use biscuit cutter). Grease cookie sheet. Let rise 1 hour. Makes 20 rolls.
