LAYERED HAMBURGER BAKE | |
4 oz. med. noodles (3 c.) 1 lb. ground sirloin 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/2 c. sour cream 3 tbsp. milk 2 tbsp. finely chopped onions 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained 1/2 c. (2 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese Cook noodles in large amount of boiling water until tender; drain. Brown meat in skillet; drain off fat. Add tomato sauce, sugar, salt, garlic salt, pepper, and cooked noodles; set aside. Stir together cream cheese, sour cream, milk, and onion. In 2-quart casserole layer half the ground beef and noodle mixture, half of the cream cheese mixture. Add all spinach and remaining ground beef and noodle mixture. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until bubbly. Uncover and spread remaining cream cheese mixture atop. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake 10 minutes more or until cheese is melted. |
