MARINATED FLANK STEAK 
2 tbsp. tomato paste
3 to 4 tsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 flank steak (about 2 lb.)

Combine marinade ingredients. Beat to thicken. Paint both sides of steak with marinade. Roll up jelly roll fashion and wrap in aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Marinate at least 1 hour.

Unroll meat; broil and grill until pink in center. Slice in thin strips at an angle to the grain. Serves 4 to 6.
