SWEDISH CHRISTMAS DRINK-GLOGG 
3 whole cardamoms
8 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
Rind from sm. orange
3 c. water
1/2 c. golden raisins
1/2 oz. blanched almonds
24 oz. dry red wine
4 oz. brandy

Tie cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon stick and orange rind in a cheese cloth bag. Place in water and bring to boil. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Add raisins and almonds and simmer for 10 minutes longer.

Stir in wine and brandy and bring to a quick boil. Remove from heat immediately. Cover and store in a cool place overnight. At serving time remove spice bag. Add sweetener to taste and serve warm. Divide evenly into 12 servings.
