MOSTACCIOLI 
1 1/2-2 lb. ground beef, brown & drained
1/4 c. dry minced onion
Salt & pepper to taste
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
6 oz. can tomato paste
1/2 c. water
4 oz. can mushroom stems & pieces
1 lg. can whole tomatoes (28 oz.), chopped in food processor
8 oz. pkg. mozzarella cheese

Mix all ingredients with browned meat. Simmer about an hour. Add on cup mozzarella cheese and stir into meat mixture. Cook 3-4 cups of mostaccioli noodles. Layer with sauce in large baking dish. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees covered about 1 hour. If made several hours before baking it's better.
