CHERRY-NUT BREAD 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. diced sweet cherries
1 egg
1 1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. oil

In large bowl, mix well flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, walnuts and cherries. In small bowl with fork, beat egg, milk and oil until blended. Pour over flour mixture; stir just until all ingredients are moistened. Turn into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven 60 to 70 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack 10 minutes. Turn out on rack; cool thoroughly. Makes 1 loaf.
